Quality Park Products: A Brief History and Timeline

Founded in the Twin Cities in 1919, Quality Park Products quickly grew into a 100,000 square foot facility on Syndicate Avenue in St. Paul.

In those early days, the area around Syndicate and University Avenues was known as "Quality Park" and that great name has been a part of our history ever since.

In 1928, a new warehouse was opened in Chicago, and the growth continued right through the war years. By 1956, a new plant was needed--the Como Avenue plant in St. Paul, which was still occupied until May of 2009 as corporate headquarters although the plant there was closed in the early 1990s.

The 1960's saw spectacular growth. It was during this period that many new distribution centers were established in places like Dallas and Los Angeles. It was also during this time that a new plant was built in Atlanta.

As the 1970's progressed, Quality Park became recognized as one of the premier envelope companies in the nation. New product lines were added, and new distribution centers were opened in Denver, in Louisville, in Seattle, in Milwaukee....

In the 1980's, the growth continued. New envelope plants were established in Chicago and Sacramento, and new distribution centers were added in San Francisco, Baltimore and Houston.

In the 1990s, Quality Park began combining most of smaller distribution centers and built new centralized manufacturing plants/distribution centers in Beresford, South Dakota and in St. George, Utah while streamlining its acquired Buffalo Envelope, Buffalo, NY and Murray Envelope, Hattiesburg, MS locations.

In this decade, Quality Park acquired International Envelope, the largest manufacturer of Tyvek and expansion envelopes in North America, and closed the Hattiesburg, MS and Atlanta Manufacturing Plant locations but continues to maintain a distribution location in Atlanta.

Quality Park continues forward today, as a $250+ million division of Cenveo, one of the largest commercial printers and envelope companies in North America.
